Job Summary

CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson is seeking a skilled Central Service Technician to join our team. As a Central Service Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the proper processing and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble and inspect medical instruments and equipment to ensure they are clean, sharp, and in good working order.
  • Monitor and record biological and chemical testing results, and follow up on any positive findings.
  • Disassemble, sort, soak, and decontaminate instruments and equipment for terminal sterilization.
  • Prioritize and assemble case carts for surgical cases, ensuring no delays occur.
  • Check in and process unused supplies for completed cases, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication with the Operating Room staff and other departments.
Requirements

High school education or equivalent required. Central Service Technician Certificate or ability to obtain within 2 years of employment. Prefer experience in the medical field.

Strong computer skills, excellent communication and reading skills, and cognitive abilities required.
