Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterilization Technician to join our team at our Lincoln, NE facility. As a Sterilization Technician, you will be responsible for performing equipment sterilization functions in our ABI manufacturing process. This includes cleaning, preparing, and sterilizing small equipment in support of Media Prep, Bacterial, and Viral production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a safe, clean, and organized manner to ensure compliance with cGMP regulations.
  • Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including respirators to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Process and clean portable tanks and associated equipment to ensure they are ready for use.
  • Sterilize portable tanks for use in the manufacturing process.
  • Learn and comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in our processes.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and Team Leaders to ensure smooth operation of the department.
  • Respond to requests from customers for supplies and information in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Demonstrate reliability in attendance and punctuality to meet the needs of the team.
  • Complete concise, accurate, and timely documentation to support our quality management system.
Requirements
  • High School Degree or equivalent required.
  • College degree preferred.
  • General understanding of microbiology and cGMP preferred.
Technical Skills and Competencies
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic Microsoft application and computer skills.
  • Ability to recognize product quality issues based on company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Demonstrate good listening skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Express a positive attitude.
  • Show respect for co-workers.
  • Working knowledge of metric system.
Physical Position Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely.
  • Manual dexterity using hands and fingers.
  • Constant standing for extended periods of time.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequent need to sit, kneel, crouch, and climb.
  • Exposure to temperature variation, disagreeable odors, caustic/hazardous chemicals, noise.
