We are seeking a highly skilled Hematologist/Oncologist to join our team at the Dermatology Skin and Cancer Institute.
About the Role:
- Perform routine and special procedures, including CAP workload recording, operation of automated strainers, cytology fluid procedures, and more.
- Operate various laboratory equipment, such as the Hypercenter, and perform tasks like hematoxylin and eosin stains, deparaffinizing for special stains, and pathology report forms.
- Prepare stock solutions, fixative preparation, and fixation of lymph nodes or bone marrow.
- Remove mercuric chloride ppts from B-5 fixative and perform carbohydrate, connective tissue, and muscle fiber stains.
- Conduct microorganism, pigment, and mineral stains, as well as nuclear and cytoplasmic stains, lipid stains, nerve tissue stains, and immunoperozidase stains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform tasks with a minimum of errors, work neatly, and maintain accuracy regardless of volume of work.
- Stay current with changes in laboratory procedures and demonstrate the ability to handle unexpected situations.
- Exercise independent thought and action, observe confidentiality, and handle patient information and co-workers with discretion.
- Perform a variety of tasks within the scope of job duties and accept accountability for actions.
- Carry out instructions and fulfill job responsibilities.
Requirements:
