Job Title: Commercial Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Estimator to join our team at Talent Avenue Staffing llc. As a Commercial Estimator, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects from all aspects, including design, estimating, owner selections, and execution.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and estimating, with experience working with high-end, custom roof systems. You will be responsible for analyzing requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project, and determining what factors of production will influence the cost.

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize workflow and maintain current market pricing for materials in the estimating system. You will also be responsible for generating job cost reports, developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors, and performing hand-off meetings with assigned project managers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed estimates for residential projects (shingle, tile & metal)
  • Analyze requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
  • Determine what factors of production will influence the cost
  • Maintain current market pricing for materials in the estimating system
  • Generate job cost reports
  • Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors and contractors
  • Perform hand-off meetings with assigned project managers
  • Present prepared estimates to management
Requirements:
  • Florida roofing experience
  • Experience with The Edge estimating software
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize workflow
  • Familiarity with analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for residential projects
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
