Critical Care Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Norman Regional Health System. As a Critical Care Nurse Specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients with complex medical conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Rapidly assess patient condition and intervene with immediate attention as needed
- Manage life-support systems, including ventilation, heart monitoring, and lifesaving medications
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain current certifications and competencies in critical care nursing
Requirements:
- Diploma or Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
- Previous experience in healthcare field preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining required during orientation; current BLS certification required for duration of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training or retraining required within 6 months of hire; ACLS certification required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment
Salary and Benefits:
$46/hour based on previous work experience, plus $3/hour night shift differential and $3/hour weekend shift differential.
