Aon is seeking a Senior Risk Advisor - Loss Prevention (remote position)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a vital member of the Loss Prevention unit within the Professional Services Practice at Aon, delivering guidance and risk management assistance to a network of over 230 law firms nationwide.
  • Enhance existing client partnerships with law firms and initiate new business opportunities by cultivating strategic connections with law firm executives and engaging in presentations for potential clients.
  • Investigate issues related to professional responsibility, liability, and loss prevention that impact law firms.
  • Compose articles, newsletters, white papers, and other thought leadership materials on relevant topics concerning loss prevention, legal ethics, and professional liability that are pertinent to the legal community.
  • Evaluate and monitor claims data related to professional liability, employment practices liability, and cyber incidents involving law firms.
  • Oversee responses to client questions regarding access to the online repository of Loss Prevention team resources and prepare semiannual updates to the Library Index.
  • Design and deliver continuing legal education sessions, both virtually and in-person, for major law firm clients and external organizations.
  • Address client inquiries on ethical and loss prevention matters.
  • Assist in organizing and presenting the Aon Law Firm Symposium and Loss Prevention Spring Conferences.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) and admission to at least one State bar is mandatory.

Experience: A minimum of 12 years of experience in a law firm setting is essential. Knowledge of law firm risk management, professional liability defense, and professional indemnity insurance is preferred.

Special Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Strong interpersonal and presentation capabilities.

Robust research and organizational skills.

Commitment to developing comprehensive knowledge of legal ethics regulations and professional liability and insurance law.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

The salary range for this role is $175,000 to $250,000 annually, varying based on education, experience, skills, and internal equity.

This position is eligible for participation in one of Aon's annual incentive plans, which may include an annual discretionary bonus in addition to the base salary.
