Aon is seeking a Senior Risk Advisor - Loss Prevention (remote position)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a vital member of the Loss Prevention division within the Professional Services Practice at Aon, delivering strategic guidance and risk management assistance to a diverse portfolio of over 230 law firm clients nationwide.
  • Enhance existing client partnerships with law firms and initiate new business opportunities by cultivating strategic relationships with law firm executives and engaging in presentations to potential law firm clients.
  • Conduct in-depth research on professional responsibility, liability, and loss prevention challenges impacting law firms.
  • Compose articles, bulletins, white papers, and other thought leadership materials addressing contemporary loss prevention, legal ethics, and professional liability issues relevant to the legal community.
  • Evaluate and monitor claims data related to professional liability, employment practices liability, and cyber incidents involving law firms.
  • Oversee responses to client inquiries regarding access to the comprehensive online library of Loss Prevention team resources and prepare semiannual updates to the Library Index.
  • Design and deliver continuing legal education presentations, both virtually and in-person, for large law firm clients and external organizations.
  • Address client inquiries concerning ethics and loss prevention matters.
  • Assist in the organization and presentation of the Aon Law Firm Symposium and Loss Prevention Spring Conferences.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) and admission to at least one State bar is mandatory.

Experience: A minimum of 12 years of experience within a law firm is essential. Familiarity with law firm risk management, professional liability defense, and professional indemnity insurance is advantageous.

Special Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

Proficient research and organizational capabilities.

Willingness to acquire comprehensive knowledge of legal ethics regulations and professional liability and insurance law.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

The salary range for this role is $175,000 to $250,000 annually, varying based on education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment. Salary adjustments may also occur based on geographic location.

This position is eligible for participation in one of Aon's annual incentive plans, allowing for an annual discretionary bonus in addition to the base salary. The bonus amount varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
