Job Summary:

  • The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will work closely with the lead technologist to coordinate daily operations and functions of Nuclear Medicine Services.
  • Assesses performance of quality control procedures and documentation regarding equipment checks as well as calibrations on pharmaceutical tagging.
  • Ensures proper receipt, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials according to regulations and policies.
  • Performs diagnostic exams on patients as prescribed by physician using scanners or scintillation cameras for detection of radiation emitted.
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general population.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of an Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
