Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team at Providence Kodiak Alaska Medical Center. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing and evaluating sonographic examinations, obtaining clinical history, and providing technical interpretation of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and evaluate sonographic examinations to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients
  • Obtain clinical history and perform a physical assessment of the patient's condition to determine appropriate testing protocol
  • Provide technical interpretation of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis
  • Provide patient care while procedures are in progress
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized school of Diagnostic Sonography
  • National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire or National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • 2 years' General Sonography, Echocardiography and Vascular experience preferred
