Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage traffic design tasks or projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality control
  • Oversee, design, or review traffic design plans, specifications, and estimates, serving as the engineer of record
  • Build relationships with clients and peers in the industry
  • Mentor and train junior staff
  • Design and implement traffic engineering solutions, including signing and striping, signals, temporary traffic control, illumination, and ITS communications
  • Conduct transportation operations analysis and planning support
  • Serve as Project Manager for traffic design-focused projects or Deputy PM/Task Lead on larger multi-discipline projects
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Oregon (or ability to obtain within 1 year)
  • 5+ years of professional engineering experience, including traffic engineering design
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Desire to work in the Traffic Engineering field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and design software such as MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
  • Experience leading project teams and/or tasks
Desired Qualifications:
  • Proficient in traffic signals or ITS design
  • Experience with InRoads, Civil 3D, Guide Sign, Agi32, Infraworks, ConceptStation, etc.
  • Familiarity with traffic operations and safety software and tools

Anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $135,000, based on applicable experience.
