- System Testing and Troubleshooting: Perform thorough testing and troubleshooting of communication systems to ensure reliability and effectiveness.
- Protocol and Technology Expertise: Develop and maintain expertise in communication protocols and technologies, including RS-232, RS-422, ATM, SONET, GPIB, TCP/IP, ISDN, and Frame Relay.
- Test Automation and Equipment Operation: Design and implement test automation processes using computer-controlled test equipment and operate a variety of communications test equipment.
- System Evaluation and Analysis: Conduct thorough evaluations and analysis of communication systems to identify areas for improvement and optimize system performance.
- Interface Development and Maintenance: Develop and maintain system interfaces, including Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Interface Requirements Documents (IRDs).
- System Requirements and Specifications: Review and assess system and product-level specifications to ensure requirements are valid and testable.
- Testbed Setup and Maintenance: Establish, maintain, and operate testbeds to ensure they meet physical, interface, and installation requirements.
- VoIP Protocol and Standard Expertise: Develop and maintain expertise in VoIP protocols and standards, including SIP, MGCP, and RTP.
- VoIP Test Equipment Operation: Operate VoIP test equipment, including Call Manager, Abacus, Impairment Emulators, Voice Quality Testers, and other relevant tools.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience.
- Skills: Proven experience with analog and digital voice and data operations, communication protocols and technologies, test automation design and implementation, and VoIP protocols and standards.
