Adjunct Faculty/Human Relations Instructor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Adjunct Faculty/Human Relations to join our team at Westchester Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Human Relations in Spanish to students enrolled in the Home Health Aide (HHA) program.
About the Position:The Adjunct Faculty/Human Relations will communicate in English with WEOC's RN Director Coordinator on teaching expectations and course content. The incumbent will deliver, in Spanish, a curriculum that includes fundamental elements of human relations and its importance both in personal living and on the job with special emphasis on personal awareness, attitudes and behavior patterns with respect to racial, cultural and social conflicts and interactions, and intelligent decision-making and stress management.
Responsibilities:- Teach Human Relations in Spanish to students enrolled in the Home Health Aide (HHA) program
- Communicate in English with WEOC's RN Director Coordinator on teaching expectations and course content
- Deliver a curriculum that includes fundamental elements of human relations and its importance both in personal living and on the job
- Facilitate the development of critical thinking and be available to answer student questions in Spanish
- Evaluate students' work and provide written and verbal feedback in Spanish
- Master's Degree in Human Relations or a related field from a recognized college or university
- One year of practical experience in the field of Human Relations
- Ability to read, write, and speak in both English and Spanish
- Ability to establish a rapport with students and maintain an environment that supports learning and promotes student retention
- Experience teaching remotely and using an LMS
- Experience teaching adult learners and at-risk populations
- Highly organized and detail-oriented candidates
$82.57 per hour. No benefits. This position is fully grant funded.
