Job Summary

We are seeking a charismatic Announcer to join our team at Spotlight Events Inc. As an Announcer, you will be responsible for executing announcements and playback music for each performance, communicating with the audience regarding schedule changes and PSAs, and providing entertaining dialog and professional representation as the voice of Spotlight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute announcement and playback music for each performance
  • Communicate with audience regarding schedule changes and PSAs to keep attendees in the loop during the event
  • Provide entertaining dialog and professional representation as the voice of Spotlight

Requirements
  • Emcee or public performance experience and skills
  • Strong reading and public speaking skills
  • Audio playback experience or knowledge regarding mixing live audio on analog consoles is a plus
  • Adept at providing smooth, consistent technical performance to minimize downtime and engage attendees
  • Excels at troubleshooting and multi-tasking

Work Environment and Personal Attributes
  • Ability to work long hours while maintaining a positive demeanor in a dynamic, exciting environment
  • Background, drug, and alcohol screening required

Important Position Expectations
Individuals will work from mid-January through May, with the possibility of extension for our National Finals through mid-July. Individuals must reside in reasonable proximity to a US international airport and have the flexibility to travel 8-12 weekends, departing as early as Thursday morning and returning home as late as Monday evening for all regional events. All incoming event staff will be required to attend an audition prior to being offered an agreement for the 2025 touring season. Salary Description Range of $450-$850 per weekend
