- Assist department leaders in obtaining necessary information and comprehending their specific domains.
- Lead the development and enhancement of financial models for strategic projects and business decision-making. Evaluate potential business ventures through comprehensive financial and scenario analysis along with market research.
- Champion process and system enhancements to boost the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function, ensuring alignment with organizational growth.
- Transform the FP&A team into strategic partners within the organization. Inspire and guide the team throughout this transformation.
- Exemplify a mindset of operational excellence by approaching initiatives with curiosity and challenging existing practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in budgeting and financial analysis within a mid-sized organization.
- 5 years of experience in financial modeling for new business initiatives, particularly in subscription services.
- Thorough understanding of contemporary accounting and financial planning best practices.
- Strong accountability and meticulous attention to detail.
- Willingness to work overtime during peak periods.
- Proficient in applying quantitative analysis skills to derive practical, actionable insights.
- Ability to articulate detailed financial and procedural information across all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a small, cohesive team in a results-driven environment.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a successful track record in managing budgeting processes and juggling multiple priorities.
- Expertise in budgeting and planning software, along with proficiency in Microsoft or Google Office applications.
- CPA or equivalent formal education in financial analysis and modeling is highly desirable. A demonstrated interest or experience in technology or higher education is a plus.
