Cashier/Host

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Cashier/Host to join our team at Bay Mills Indian Community. As a Cashier/Host, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a seamless dining experience, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

• Provide fast and courteous service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
• Greets guests in a friendly manner, escorts them to tables, and provides menus.
• Collects payment from customers and enters all transactions into the POS system.
• Ensures that the buffet and/or specials board is done neatly and is accurate.
• Wraps and prepares silverware to par level as well as other assigned side work.
• Assumes responsibility for balancing all transactions at the end of each shift.
• Responds in a timely manner to room service calls and To Go orders and settles all billings through the POS system immediately.
• Assists other positions in the restaurant when needed and cooperates well with co-workers.
• Responsible for learning and following daily policies and procedures for the F&B Department and Bay Mills Resort & Casinos.
• Must attend all mandatory trainings designated by the Human Resources Department and/or Department Manager.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be seventeen (17) years of age or older.
• Six months in cashiering experience is desired.
• Prior experience in a guest service position strongly desired.
• Must have excellent communication skills and a friendly personality.
• Fast-paced customer service position, cash knowledge required.
• General knowledge of computers, prior use of POS system desired.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and stand for extended periods of time. The employee must bend, squat, climb, crouch, kneel, and push/pull. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds while frequently lifting and/or moving up to 35 pounds.
