We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team as a Charge Nurse in Sweetwater, Texas. As an LVN, you will provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practices and regulations. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Job Summary

The Charge Nurse will be responsible for supervising the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) staff in the delivery of direct resident care, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement plans of care that meet the unique needs of each resident. Your expertise and guidance will play a critical role in maintaining the highest level of care and quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practices and regulations.
  • Supervise CNA staff in the delivery of direct resident care, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement plans of care that meet the unique needs of each resident, working closely with the Director of Nursing.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing and currently licensed by the State.
  • Ability to relate positively to residents and families, and work cooperatively with other employees.
  • Capable of maintaining regular attendance, supervising other employees, and meeting all local health regulations.
  • Physical and sensory requirements include walking, reaching, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing, and pulling.
