Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Meat/Seafood Butcher to join our team at Big Y Non. As a key member of our fresh food department, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meat and seafood products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Product Preparation: Prepare and present meat and seafood products to the highest standards, ensuring they meet our quality and presentation expectations.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, ordering and receiving products as needed to meet customer demand.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment and machinery are clean and well-maintained, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales and operational goals, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive business success.
- Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to colleagues, sharing your expertise and knowledge to enhance their skills and performance.
- Adherence to Company Policies: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to changing business needs, prioritizing tasks and adjusting to new situations as required.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a retail or food service environment.
- Education and Training: Completion of a meat/seafood butcher and culinary training program, or equivalent experience.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as required by the business.
