Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Planner to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and controlling material requirements in conjunction with our production schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of programs and coordination of new program/product launches.
  • Plan, prepare, issue, and control material requirements in conjunction with the production schedule.
  • Support risk management activities impacting the value chain, working with cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and escalate issues.
  • Ensure shipments are accomplished to maintain contract/internal delivery commitments.
  • Assist with reporting of key performance indicators, performance data, and miscellaneous metrics.
  • Utilize system and process tools to achieve program/functional goals.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree.
  • 2-5 years' work experience in a supply chain or similar role.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, and ability to interface with stakeholders throughout the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Supply Chain or related field.
  • Planning experience in a large multifaceted electronic manufacturing environment.
  • Significant ERP System Experience (Oracle, SAP, Other), inclusive of shop floor control systems.
  • Ability to analyze and react to exceptions in MRP, especially around Bills of Material, Material Planning, Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, and ECOs.
  • Drive to learn Supply Chain initiatives, processes, and procedures as well as a multitude of modules and reporting.
  • Familiarity with defense aerospace industry & regulations.
  • Sales & Operations Experience/Knowledge.
  • Inventory/Stockroom Management.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Ability to verbally and accurately report production status to program team or factory team.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
