Job Summary

The Member Service Representative is a key role at Truliant Federal Credit Union, responsible for delivering exceptional member service and support. This position requires a strong understanding of financial services and a passion for helping members achieve their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and efficient transaction processing for members, ensuring their financial needs are met.
  • Resolve discrepancies and issues in a timely manner, maintaining a high level of member satisfaction.
  • Create a welcoming environment for members, fostering rapport and trust through effective communication.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to Truliant's member service standards, providing exceptional support and guidance.
  • Engage members in conversation to understand their financial needs and goals, offering personalized solutions and referrals.
  • Proactively assist members in finding ways to make financial services more convenient, leveraging technological tools and resources.
  • Utilize member relationship tools to record interactions and maintain accurate records.
  • Contribute to the execution of MFCs service and sales goals, demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity when handling member accounts, adhering to all internal controls and established policies.
  • Research and resolve minor account issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and deadlines.
  • Perform specialized tasks, such as cash advances, official checks, and foreign drafts, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Make outbound service calls to members, providing personalized support and guidance.
  • Utilize systems to set appointments and log-in members for service, streamlining the member experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year related experience in retail or financial services preferred.
  • Strong understanding of standard concepts, practices, procedures, regulations, and compliance within the financial services environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with members.
  • Previous sales experience preferred.
  • Good arithmetic skills and advanced personal computer skills.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to work in a general office environment.
  • Flexible and able to shift resources and priorities as required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a goal-oriented environment.
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent service to Truliant members.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, and bending required.
  • Ability to sit for occasional periods of time and use a computer.
  • Ability to moderately lift or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds.
