As a Tax Office Operations Coordinator, you will be instrumental in supporting a dedicated office during the peak tax season, ensuring that client satisfaction is consistently achieved while providing operational guidance for the tax office.


At H&R Block, our mission is to assist others, allowing you to witness the positive effects of your contributions directly. This position does not involve tax preparation, so prior experience in this area is not a prerequisite. You will play a crucial role in upholding the H&R Block brand's commitment to delivering assistance and fostering confidence within our clients and communities.


Your work schedule will begin with flexible part-time hours in early December, transitioning to a full-time commitment from January through April. Following a successful tax season, you may choose to return for future seasons or explore advancement opportunities.


Key Responsibilities...

  • Assist the Multi-Unit Team Leader by acting as the primary contact for tax office staff and clients, ensuring high-quality and consistent service that reinforces the H&R Block brand.
  • Implement and enforce operational procedures among tax office employees, ensuring a positive client service experience, with necessary escalations to the Multi-Unit Team Leader and management.
  • Address escalated client service issues as the onsite point of contact.
  • Oversee client scheduling and conflict resolution, escalating matters to the Multi-Unit Team Leader and management when required.
  • Lead office operations from the front desk, providing phone support and engaging with clients to ensure an exceptional experience.
  • Coordinate daily activities to guarantee that all tax office staff are scheduled and that tasks are completed timely, adhering to quality standards and overall objectives.
  • Facilitate daily meetings to communicate essential updates to office personnel.

Qualifications...

  • Experience in customer service or a related field.
  • Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to manage daily office functions effectively.
  • A customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrated resilience under pressure and a strong drive to succeed.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule of 40 hours per week, adapting to business needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.

Preferred Qualifications...

  • Experience in supervising or managing personnel.
  • A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service experiences.
