Job Opportunity at Bridgeway

Bridgeway is seeking a skilled Nurse Clinician to provide high-quality outpatient nursing services to our clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing informed consent and medication training to clients, ensuring they understand the purpose, side effects, and adverse reactions of their medication.
  • Coordinating and maintaining a tardive dyskinesia monitoring system, ensuring compliance with Rule 132 and CARF standards.
  • Providing case management services, medication monitoring, and education to mentally ill clients, ensuring their clinical course follows the treatment plan.
  • Assessing clients' knowledge of medication and developing goals to improve their understanding of their mental illness, medication effects, and side effects.
  • Ensuring comprehensive healthcare services by monitoring clients' physical and mental condition, providing necessary interventions to promote wellness.
  • Assisting in the operation of the medication clinic, including client assessment, administration of long-acting injectable neuroleptics, and maintaining supplies and records.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in an accredited nursing program.
  • Valid nursing license in Illinois.
  • Prior experience with elderly clients and one year of mental health experience preferred.
  • Reliable transportation.
