We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Order Entry Technician to join our team at PharMerica. As a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our medication order processing system.
Key Responsibilities- Triage and interpret medication orders, accurately inputting them into our computerized system while meeting productivity and accuracy standards.
- Perform drug calculations, including basic mathematical conversions, to ensure accurate medication dosing.
- Resolve issues related to denied claims, following up on adjudication and Point of Sale (POS) processes.
- Maintain current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes to ensure compliance.
- Provide excellent customer service to external and internal customers, adhering to company values.
- Assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
- Perform other tasks as assigned, including assisting in various areas of the pharmacy as directed by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pharmacy-related experience.
- Basic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and the metric system, with the ability to operate a computer.
- Licenses/Certifications: As required by state regulations and business needs.
