Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Baton Rouge General. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing radiologic procedures in accordance with unit-based standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs radiologic procedures in accordance with unit-based standards of practice.
  • Positions patients and operates equipment to produce most reliable and informational data.
  • Transfers, positions and instructs patients regarding the procedure.
  • Consistently produces film of high technical quality.
  • Assesses data reflective of each patient's status and interprets information needed in order to identify each patient's age requirements relative to his or her age specific health care needs.
Requirements
  • Approved MRI training preferred
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Holds current Louisiana State license to perform in the capacity of radiographer
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy preferred
  • National Certification Preferred
Working Conditions

The MRI Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment and will be required to stand for long periods of time. The successful candidate will also be required to lift and move equipment as needed.
