About the Opportunity

WSP USA is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our Pennsylvania Civil Team as a Full-Time Civil Engineering Co-op. This temporary position is designed for students currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program through Drexel University.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and enthusiastic individual to support a variety of engineering tasks, including project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to develop technical, social, and ethical skills, and learn basic principles of Civil Engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Support engineering tasks, including project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
  • Assist with project documentation and complete training on assigned tasks.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Requirements
  • Actively enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering, or related, Undergraduate program through Drexel University with an anticipated graduation date of October 2025 or later.
  • Must be 18 or older.
  • Demonstrated interest in Transportation Engineering, or related field, and have a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP's work and projects.
  • Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
  • Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to execute projects.
  • Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
  • Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD software.
  • Prior internship and leadership involvement on campus.
