About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Campus Planner to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our planning team, you will play a critical role in shaping the physical and operational landscape of our university.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive plans for university initiatives, including accessibility reviews, space utilization, and capital asset management.
  • Space Planning and Programming: Provide expert advice on space planning and programming to support the management of capital projects and ensure alignment with the university's overall mission.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with campus constituents to understand their needs and advocate for functional and achievable solutions.
  • Project Management: Lead planning efforts for a wide range of projects across the university, from logistical sequencing to long-range visioning.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Massachusetts building code, life safety, and accessibility regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required, with 8+ years of experience or equivalent.
  • Experience: Background in design and/or development industry, including architecture, urban planning, space planning, programming, project development, or construction experience with a focus on higher education.
  • Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to balance competing priorities, and proficiency with CAD software, spreadsheets, and analytic tools.
