Daily Responsibilities of a Lead Preschool Educator:

  • Ensure the health and safety of each child through vigilant supervision and adherence to established protocols.
  • Facilitate preschool and enrichment classes utilizing our innovative and original curriculum to make learning engaging.
  • Support each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play in a nurturing and positive manner.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, providing updates on daily activities and developmental progress.

Qualifications:

This position is ideal for candidates who:

  • Possess 1-2 years of lead teaching experience in an early childhood setting or Pre-K, Kindergarten, or grades 1-2.
  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education or a related field, along with New York State Early Childhood Initial or Permanent Certification in N-6 or B-2, OR
    • Are currently on a Study Plan OR
    • Are pursuing a Master's Degree in early childhood education or child development with New York State Initial or Permanent Early Childhood Certification in N-6 or B-2.

The compensation range for this role is as follows:

$57,000-$68,652 (dependent on educational background and certification status).

Physical Requirements:

This role requires standing, walking, sitting, and constant movement, with occasional climbing. The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is necessary. Specific sensory abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
