General Summary: The Café Staff plays a vital role in a collaborative environment focused on delivering a culinary experience that connects visitors with nature. Responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the timely preparation of high-quality food items. As a member of the Café team, you will take orders, manage the point of sale (POS) system, and prepare menu items according to established standards while embodying the Garden's Core Values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently take guest orders and operate the POS system, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Prepare food items as requested by guests, adhering to menu specifications.
  • Perform daily opening and closing tasks, including restocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness in food preparation and serving areas, in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen appliances, storage areas, and dining spaces.
  • Assist with inventory management, including estimating food needs and managing supply orders.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least 6 months of experience in food service. Must obtain Serve Safe Certification within the first 90 days of employment.

  • Utilization of standard kitchen equipment, POS systems, and communication devices.
