Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Retail Merchandising Specialist to join our team at L&R Distributors. As a key member of our sales and inventory team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our retail partners have the products they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service Store Routes: Work closely with our District Manager to service store routes according to assigned call frequencies.
  • Ordering and Merchandising: Place orders for required inventory according to store ordering guidelines, utilizing a company-supplied tablet and scanner leveraging Repsly software.
  • Store Visits: Follow a specific store visit process inclusive of merchandising delivery from the previous order, filling out task forms, taking pictures, ordering to maintain stock levels, and other special projects as requested.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and policies regarding invoicing, exchanges, and returns.
  • Planogram and Footage Management: Familiarity with planograms and footage by department, while balancing sales and inventory control.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Communication: Maintain efficient communication with Store Associates upon each store visit.
  • Merchandise Shipments: Verify merchandise shipments upon receipt and checked in by authorized store personnel.
  • Professional Communication: Provide consistent professional communication with Store Management and Store Associates.
  • Store Maintenance: Clean and organize display cases and shelves.
  • Store Surveys and Audits: Conduct store surveys and audits per request, including but not limited to, taking photographs of assigned departments to solve store issues.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to conduct physical work, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D; previous merchandising or retail experience a plus.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Vehicle: Your own personal vehicle since you'll be driving to and from stores.
  • Insurance: Proof of Car Insurance.
  • Motor Vehicle History: Motor vehicle history with 3 or fewer moving violations within the last 36 months (3 years).
  • Computer or Smartphone: Computer or smartphone with an internet connection.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
