About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our Sustainability Infrastructure Building - Solutions & Technologies business, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of assigned building retrofit projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine resource levels to attain schedule milestones and monitor workforce levels to ensure conformance with the construction plan.
  • Control project costs, change/scope creep, and ensure that all scope changes are quickly and properly documented and that change orders are approved prior to the performance of work.
  • Implement site safety and security procedures and project work rules, and play an active role in the development of the safety program.
  • Develop and maintain customer and subcontractor relationships.
  • Work under general supervision of the Project Delivery Manager and in conjunction with Regional Team management.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent work-related experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of direct project management experience in the Building Construction Industry.
  • Management experience with projects related to HVAC, Controls/BAS, Lighting, and Renewable Energy systems is desired.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
  • The ability to travel, with varying project assignments potentially outside of the assigned geography.
Preferred Qualifications
  • LEED certification or PMP Certification.
