Job Summary

About the Role

This position requires a registered nurse with a strong background in psychiatric nursing and mental health care. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and providing education and support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide direct patient care, including medication management and therapy
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Currently licensed RN in the state of Maryland
  • BLS certification
  • Two years of previous nursing experience, preferably in a psychiatric or mental health setting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a crisis center or emergency department
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health care
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
