RESPONSIBILITIES AND FACILITY DETAILS
The selected candidate will quickly become engaged with a high volume of patients, as our practice is currently booked 3 to 4 months in advance.
Clinical Practice: 95% clinical responsibilities
Work Schedule: Four 8-hour shifts, totaling 36 patient hours per week
Clinic Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Surgical Responsibilities: One day per week dedicated to surgical procedures
Patient Volume: High patient turnover
Average Cases: 8-12 cases per day
Support Staff: A well-equipped team including 2 scribes, 3 technicians, 3 exam rooms per provider, 1 research coordinator, 2.5 photographers, 3 OPTs, 1 NP, and 1 per diem orthoptist
Group Size: 12 ophthalmologists within the practice
Electronic Medical Records: Utilization of Med Flow in the clinic and Cerner at the hospital
Equipment Available: Comprehensive ophthalmic equipment including OCT-Sirrus 5000, Fundus Camera, various visual field machines, IOL master, and more. Options for purchasing additional equipment if necessary.
Call Schedule: Third-round call responsibilities, with residents handling first and second rounds.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Ophthalmology, with a requirement to achieve board certification within five years of completing residency or fellowship.
