About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our Operations and Maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our satellite systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and implement daily operations plans using complex software and hardware systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of formal procedures and apply them accurately in various scenarios.
  • Obtain and apply technical knowledge on various hardware subsystems.
  • Document discrepancies and implement workarounds to minimize system anomalies.
  • Contribute to the testing, readiness, training, and implementation of new ground software deliveries.
  • Cross-train in other operator positions and assist with training of other personnel.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in critical thinking and problem-solving in time-critical situations.
  • Experience following and implementing technical instructions or procedures documents.
  • An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience providing and receiving training to/from a wide range of learning/teaching styles.
  • Working in a virtual team environment.
  • Proficient use of both Windows and UNIX platforms.
  • Experience with Perl, Python, VBA, and/or other scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
