Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and guidance to production operations, focusing on mechanical and equipment-related issues.
  • Operate, set up, adjust, and troubleshoot production equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Lead and train associates on production floor procedures, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve equipment-related issues and improve processes.
  • Audit and document preventative maintenance procedures to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Set up and debug equipment to meet documented specifications, maintaining equipment logs and recording pertinent information.
  • Repair equipment and report major problems to supervisor, coordinating maintenance activities as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as specified in the PM program or as needed for smooth operation.
  • Monitor production machinery to ensure top performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree in Advanced Mechatronics Technology preferred.
  • Previous leadership roles or supervisory experience required.
  • Mechanical proficiency and experience required.
  • Proficient with basic hand tools and knowledgeable of feeler gauges and other tools to measure tolerances, torque, and clearances.
  • Completed coursework in schematics, basic principles of mechanics, industrial electricity, problem-solving for mechanical applications, and introduction to industrial technology.
  • Minimum of 2 years as Set-up, Technical Associate role or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting cams, cam-followers, rod-ends, bushings, chain drives, conveyors, gearboxes, vacuum systems, pneumatic systems, and ball-valves.
  • BASIC electrical knowledge and experience with PLC's and pneumatic systems preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ to 7 years experience.
  • Seniority Level: Mid-Senior.
  • Management Experience Required: Yes.
  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
