Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT exams and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identity and review medical records for exam appropriateness
  • Interview patients to obtain medical history and assess risk factors
  • Explain procedures to patients, including risks and benefits
  • Set up equipment and acquire images as per script
  • Review images, make initial observations, and document exceptions
  • Communicate data to radiologists and provide post-care instructions to patients
  • Participate in process improvement activities and provide imaging education to residents and new employees
Requirements
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or Computed Tomography (CT)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training
  • One or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology or advanced certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
Skills and Qualifications
  • Analytical and clinical skills to determine the most appropriate method of providing radiographs
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with patients and hospital personnel
  • Technical knowledge to operate equipment, including specialized equipment and computers
  • Ability to work productively and effectively in a complex environment
