Ideal Candidate Profile:
- At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance role.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in diagnosing basic relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, and VFD drives.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex electrical issues.
- Experience with Megamation or Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS).
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing, kneeling, and lifting for extended periods.
Key Duties:
- Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery and electrical systems to minimize downtime.
- Perform inspections and diagnostics to identify potential problems.
- Utilize CMMS for maintenance scheduling, inventory management, and task tracking.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, including wiring, circuits, motors, and control systems.
- Replace defective electrical components such as relays, switches, and sensors.
- Interpret electrical diagrams and schematics for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, focusing on input/output and control voltages.
- Use a multimeter to assess voltage and continuity.
- Familiarity with Yaskawa robots is advantageous.
- Diagnose and fix mechanical issues, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive systems.
- Replace faulty parts using hand and power tools.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery and electrical systems.
- Upgrade and modify equipment for enhanced efficiency, safety, and compliance.
- Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Collaborate with production staff to minimize disruptions.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Work alongside other mechanics and technicians on complex issues.
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and spare parts.
