Senior Security Cooperation Specialist Key Role:
Conduct comprehensive research and strategic analysis, project development, and advisory services for the design and execution of capacity-building initiatives with international partners to advance national security and related cooperation objectives.
Oversee and facilitate engagements with international partners, either virtually or on-site, as part of a Government-led initiative collaborating with senior defense officials from partner nations to foster good governance and enhance defense capabilities in alignment with shared security cooperation goals.
Assist in the planning and coordination of security cooperation activities with U.S. and international government stakeholders. Innovate solutions to intricate challenges.
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of experience engaging with civilian or military representatives of foreign security or defense organizations at a strategic level
Experience with regional or security cooperation teams at a strategic headquarters, including the Joint Staff, Combatant Command, or a supporting service component
Experience collaborating with allied, coalition, or partner nations on security cooperation initiatives
Expertise in defense-related functional areas, including strategy, policy, and planning at national or regional levels, special operations, military aviation, maritime security, and defense
Familiarity with security cooperation authorities, policies, processes, and resources
Demonstrated regional expertise in foreign nations
Secret clearance
Master's degree
Additional Qualifications:
20+ years of experience in a professional setting
Experience as part of a U.S. Country Team abroad focusing on security cooperation issues
Knowledge of assessment, monitoring, and evaluation policies and processes as they relate to security cooperation programs
Experience within the Department of Defense
Top Secret clearance
