Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Histology Supervisor to join our team at KA Recruiting Inc. in Tennessee.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring the day-to-day laboratory operations of the histology department, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor laboratory operations, including specimen receipt and handling, workflow, data reporting, quality control/quality assurance, and compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement laboratory procedures, techniques, and protocols, ensuring procedure manuals are up to date.
  • Provide consultation and support to resolve technical problems in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures.
  • Investigate technical problems and take corrective action.
  • Define, coordinate, and monitor quality assurance programs, ensuring quality control/assurance reports are up to date and meet quality assurance indicators established by the company.
  • Oversee plans and preparations for inspection (CAP, State of Tennessee, CLIA, etc.).
Requirements
  • BS degree in a relevant field.
  • ASCP certification.
  • TN license (or ability to obtain it).
  • Prior histology experience and knowledge, including leadership.
