Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Practice Leader to join our team at the University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus. As a key member of our opening team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of healthcare delivery at our state-of-the-art facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead clinical care delivery at the microsystem level, focusing on improving patient outcomes and nursing care through evidence-based practice and research.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare staff, patients, students, and residents on advanced unit and service line specialty knowledge.
  • Develop and implement unit and service line policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Supervise nursing staff, students, and residents, providing evaluative feedback and recommendations regarding performance.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing required; Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL/CNS) designation preferred.
  • Current license to practice nursing in Iowa or ability to obtain an Iowa license upon hire.
  • 3+ years of clinical nursing experience, with knowledge and experience in staff education and development, outcomes-based practice, and quality improvement.
Desired Qualifications
  • Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) certification by the Commission on Nurse Certification or certification relevant to clinical specialty.
  • Orthopedic Nurse Certified (ONC) certification.
  • Orthopedic clinical experience preferred.
