Bhired is a growing healthcare organization seeking an experienced Chief Care Management Officer to lead the development and implementation of care management policies and procedures.

About This Role

This leadership position will direct the development, revision, and implementation of care management strategies, ensuring alignment with NYS/OPWDD Health Home regulations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the quality department to set quality goals and establish methods and tools for staff audits, evaluation, and assessments.

Responsibilities
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of care management strategies, fostering a patient-centered approach to healthcare delivery.
  • Provide high-level oversight to the VPs of Care Management and Care Management workforce, ensuring their growth and success.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices in care management.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care management programs, identifying areas for growth and improvement.
  • Evaluate VP of Care Management's performance in providing proper oversight to Regional Director teams and Care Management staff.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with OPWDD Regional Offices.
  • Maintain ongoing contact with OPWDD for escalated issues and complaints.
  • Work closely with VPs of Care Management to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Represent Bhired on various Statewide and CCO committees.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field required.
  • Master's degree or licensed professional preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of related Human Service experience, including 5 years in IDD services.
  • Three years of previous experience at a senior management level.
  • Outstanding leadership qualities.
  • Ability to negotiate multiple systems through interaction with other departments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong organizational skills.

The estimated salary for this role is $175,000 - $225,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
