Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient health assessments, including patients' height, weight, blood pressure, medical problems, allergies, reactions, and prescribed medications.
  • Diagnose patients' intraoral and extra-oral conditions, including existing caries, endodontic pathology, periodontal condition, prosthetic needs, and any soft tissue abnormalities.
  • Develop and execute treatment plans, ensuring patients receive the required dental care tailored to their specific needs.
  • Provide routine dental treatments, including amalgam restorations, aesthetic composite restorations, routine root canal therapy, routine extractions, prophylaxis, periodontal scaling and root planning, and pedodontic care.
  • Supervise dental assistants, ensuring efficient and effective team performance.
  • Offer professional consultation to other staff dentists when needed, supporting their practice and patient care.
  • Participate in dental provider meetings and contribute to collaborative learning and patient care improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Dental Director/Practice Manager, showcasing adaptability and commitment to delivering high-quality dental care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited Dental school.
  • A current New York State license.
  • Comfortable dealing with pediatric and adult patients.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records software Dentrix or eClinicalWorks (preferred).
  • Experience with Dexis digital radiographs (preferred).
