About the RoleThis position involves performing complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures of the cardiovascular system, including adult echocardiography, pediatric echocardiography, stress echo imaging studies, and contrast echo studies. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform various types of cardiac ultrasound examinations, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
- Assist cardiologists with transesophageal studies, demonstrating expertise in advanced imaging techniques.
- Serve as a role model and mentor for new staff members and students, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to integrate imaging needs, achieving optimal patient outcomes.
- Stay current with technological advancements in cardiovascular imaging, applying new knowledge to improve patient care.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- An Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or a related field (preferred).
- 0-3 years of experience in cardiac ultrasound testing.
- Eligibility to take the Adult Echocardiography exam within one year of hire and pass within that timeframe.
- American Heart Association BCLS certification for healthcare providers.
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
