Job Summary: Magnet Medical is seeking a highly skilled Travel Mammography Imaging Specialist to join our team in Oakland, California. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography exams and providing exceptional patient care.

About the Role: The ideal candidate will have experience working with mammography equipment and possess excellent communication skills to ensure patient comfort and understanding throughout the exam process. You will work closely with radiologists and physicians to provide accurate and timely results, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care for patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality mammograms using state-of-the-art equipment
  • Position and prepare patients for exams, ensuring their comfort and proper positioning
  • Operate mammography equipment to capture clear images of breast tissue
  • Educate patients on the importance of mammograms and breast health
  • Review images for clarity and completeness, ensuring they meet diagnostic standards
  • Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to ensure accurate and timely results
  • Maintain patient records and document relevant information


Requirements: To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in radiologic technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a mammography technologist is preferred, but not required. Additionally, you will need to have a valid certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in mammography and maintain up-to-date knowledge of radiation safety protocols and guidelines.

Estimated Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 per year, based on a 40-hour workweek and 8-hour shifts.
