About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Services Specialist to join our team at Building Bridges Across the River. This full-time position involves maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our facilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, operating cleaning equipment, and reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Maintenance:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, fixing fixtures, carpentry, repair work, woodwork, and grounds upkeep.
  • Conduct inspections to identify and resolve issues before they become problems.
  • Maintain records of maintenance and repair work.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Assist with setting up and taking down equipment for events and meetings.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning, floor maintenance, and general maintenance.
  • Ability to operate cleaning and floor care equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Good physical condition and ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
