Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Claims Specialist II to join our team at Cox Automotive. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing customer complaints and mechanic reports, inspecting vehicles, and mediating disputes to ensure a fair and efficient resolution process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review customer complaints and mechanic reports to determine the extent of repairs and authorize second opinions as needed
  • Inspect vehicles to assess damage and negotiate repair and/or pricing of disputed vehicles
  • Mediate disputes between customers and dealerships to arrive at a mutually acceptable solution
  • Monitor and maintain accurate files for each arbitration case and interact with sales personnel regarding vehicle sales
  • Act as a liaison with federal and state authorities regarding odometer rollbacks and salvage vehicles
  • Promote the Auction and its services with customers to gain additional business
  • Review customer claims to verify compliance with Manheim's National Arbitration policies and account-specific guidelines
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of automotive, mechanical, or body shop experience with complaint recording and resolution preferred
  • ASE certification, estimating preferred
  • A valid Driver's License and safe driving record required
  • Strong verbal and written communication and organization skills required
  • Effective report writing and composition skills preferred
