Key Responsibilities:- Lead project teams of structural engineers and drafters to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
- Prepare scope of work and budget estimates, and monitor progress to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Forecast workload and schedules to ensure efficient project management.
- Develop structural design criteria for projects, analyzing and designing structures for flood protection and other facilities.
- Prepare structural design calculations and check calculations prepared by others, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Direct the development of structural drawings and models, coordinating design with other disciplines.
- Review or write specifications, developing new specifications as needed to ensure project success.
- Perform engineering services during construction, including review of shop drawing submittals and response to contractor questions.
- Conduct condition assessments of existing structures and prepare reports to inform project decisions.
- Manage tasks on large projects or manage several medium-sized projects, meeting budgets and schedules while maintaining quality.
- Participate in new business development, identifying opportunities to grow the business and expand our services.
- Act as a mentor for junior staff, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their careers.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- At least 10 years of related experience, with expertise in structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete structures.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required, with the frequency contingent on specific duties and project demands.
- Master of Science in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Experience in structural steel, reinforced masonry, and foundations.
- Experience in design of concrete dams, canals, locks, and gate structures.
- Experience designing structures for water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Advanced knowledge of building codes and application to design situations.
- Expert knowledge of engineering analysis/design software (e.g., Revit, STAAD, RISA).
- Experience in structural condition assessments.
- Prior supervisory experience.
