Job Summary:
Rush Enterprises is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Body Shop Technician to join our team. As a key member of our repair team, you will be responsible for repairing or replacing damaged body parts to meet or exceed factory specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review repair orders and work orders to understand repairs needed prior to beginning work on the vehicle.
- Complete all repairs according to documentation on the repair order or supplement.
- Utilize knowledge of manufacturer's and technical repair processes.
- Operate frame and measuring equipment per vendor procedures.
- Perform initial teardown of vehicle and identify parts for cut-in and edging.
- Re-assemble painted vehicle and painted parts.
- Perform final quality check and review of work order prior to sending the vehicle to the detail department.
- Collaborate with apprentice or lesser skilled technicians in developing repair skills.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Four years' body shop experience.
- Valid driver's license and insurability.
