Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Specialist to join our team. As a Packaging Specialist, you will be responsible for filling products using various packaging machines, organizing the work area, and ensuring accurate labeling and packaging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fill products using different types of packaging machines
  • Organize the work area, collect materials, and set up filling and packaging equipment
  • Gather required labels and casing materials
  • Read and follow production order cards to ensure correct packaging and labeling
  • Report accurate production counts and downtime information
  • Assist in waste segregation and recycling programs
  • Communicate with the Foreman and Production Manager
  • Use safety equipment and follow established safety regulations
  • Track progress and complete overall equipment effectiveness documents

Requirements

  • No high school diploma required
  • No prior experience or training necessary
  • Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Basic computer skills required (Windows familiarity)
  • LEAN and VFM skills and/or willingness to train
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Effective team player, self-motivated, and quick learner
