At VCU Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist to join our team at the Children's Hospital of Richmond. As a key member of our division, you will provide superior subspecialty clinical care to children in Central Virginia, offering outstanding training in infectious diseases and generating new knowledge through research projects.

The successful candidate will have experience with clinical care of patients, including inpatient and outpatient consultation for children with suspected infections. They will also be able to participate in phone consultations, review antibiotic therapies, and assist with epidemiologic issues in healthcare settings.

We offer a competitive salary range of $250,000 - $350,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. In addition to a generous compensation package, you will have opportunities for career advancement, professional growth, and contributions to academic medicine.

  • Teaching Responsibilities: As a faculty member, you will provide teaching and mentorship to medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Research Opportunities: You will have working knowledge in research methods and be able to participate in clinical, translational, and outcomes research.
  • Clinical Responsibilities: You will provide inpatient and outpatient consultation for children with suspected infections and participate in phone consultations and reviews of antibiotic therapies.
