About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Veterinarian to join our team at Banfield Pet Hospital. As a Lead Veterinarian, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading a team of veterinarians, and championing quality and compliance within our hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of veterinarians and support the training of veterinary providers on Banfield guidelines and practices.
- Ensure regulatory and quality compliance, including controlled substance management, radiation safety, and clinical essentials.
- Support the development of technical medical skills for veterinary assistants/technicians and promote technician appointments.
- Lead the veterinary hospital team through the daily schedule and caseload, delegating tasks to paraprofessionals and improving hospital efficiency.
- Provide high-quality patient care, including preventive care and evidence-based medicine.
- Build strong relationships with clients and their pets, educating them on pet health and wellness.

Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary program.
- Current veterinary licensure in the state of practice.
- Experience as a veterinarian, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
