Responsibilities
- Assist with hydrologic and hydraulic design calculations for stormwater management systems and/or bridge hydraulic and floodplain studies, prepare sketches, technical comparisons, and similar technical work as required.
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating design work with the team.
- Review plans, details, and prepare or review technical specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates.
- Support and coordinate with Highway, Structural, and Geotechnical Engineer design teams and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Detailed-oriented, self-starter comfortable working in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with HEC-RAS, HY-8, SRH-2D, HydroCAD, AutoDesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis, MicroStation (including InRoads), AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred).
- Familiarity with FHWA, USACE, and AASHTO design guidance is desirable.
- FE/EIT (preferred).
